The Fayetteville SwampDogs are extremely excited to announce the signing of two University of Kansas Jayhawks for the 2005 Coastal Plain League Season exness. Gus Milner and Matt Lane will join the SwampDogs this summer after competing in the extremely competitive Big 12 conference this spring.

Milner, a 6’5 235 lb. Right handed hitter is making an immediate impact in the Jayhawks lineup. The junior outfielder is off to a fast start. In his first 9 games, Milner is hitting .414, with 3 doubles, 2 homeruns and a triple, good enough for a team leading .793 slugging percentage. The Olathe, Ks. native is a junior transfer from Hutchinson Community College in Kansas, where last season he hit .366 with 39 runs batted in, and was named first team all conference. SwampDogs field manager Darrell Handelsman is no stranger to Milner, having coached against him last summer in the Northwoods Collegiate League, has this to say about him, “Gus was an All Star in a very competitive summer league, now he is playing in one of the top conferences in the country exness india. He is truly a multi tool player, very athletic for such a big guy”.

Matt Lane, a 6’4 215 lb. red shirt freshman right handed pitcher, will contribute to the Jayhawks bullpen this spring. The Lawrence, Ks. native is anxious to begin his college career after a high school career that saw him named second team All-State  his senior year. Coach Handelsman has high expectations for Lane, saying, “Matt is a hard throwing, very competitive individual, who comes highly recommended. I expect him to give our staff a big lift”.
